Association

The Association “Alas para Niños de Sámara” was founded in 2015 by Manuela Soltermann, originally from Switzerland who currently lives with her son in Sámara. The association offers a high-quality day care and preschool education with a complementary sports program to enable children and teenagers to improve their social competences. The main focus of the association is financially accessible for early education with a specific development program. The organization also offers secure and year-round job opportunities with fair remuneration in all departments.

Together with qualified educators, Manuela receives about 20 children per day – most from disadvantaged families. Her goal is to offer local children a better start in their lives and help to break them out of the cycle of poverty. With a lot of know-how and passion, she works together with her team for a better future for the children in the region.

In order to handle the enormous demand of financially affordable educational places and to be able to accommodate more children, the association is planning the construction of a new school building. During an auction in spring 2017 land was purchased for that purpose.
